We drove from Moses Lake to this restaurant on a friend's recommendation. It was about a 35 minute drive but well worth it. This little gem off the beaten path served up some absolutely delicious food! I started with the pork belly which was a meal in itself! I never expected such an exquisite appetizer way out here in Royal City. I would've been satisfied with just that, but then my entree came. I ordered the pork chop and was amazed at what I was looking at. A huge plump chop resting on a bed of smoked mash. To testify to its tenderness, I didn't realize until I was done that I ate the entire thing with my butter knife rather than the steak knife I was provided! My friends attempted to finish off with a chocolate lava cake while I simply finished off my flight of reds. I can't say enough about our server either. He did a fantastic job of explaining the foods we ordered and presented everything to us in a very professional manner. We intend to return with more of our co-workers very soon!

Wife and I stopped here for lunch on a cross-state trip to Othello. Located in Royal City, it is just off Route 26 and about 20 miles west of Othello, WA. Pleasantly surprised with our meals as the food was delicious and flavor packed! There really is no substitute for fresh ingredients as some of the profiles the dishes presented were unexpected and eye-opening! Appetizers, salads, burgers and sandwiches, pizzas and desserts... the menu is filled with tantalizing options, I definitely want to come back and try some more!

Amazing service! Great atmosphere. The food was delicious. The brioche French toast was the best! The mock tail mimosa flights is so fun because we got to enjoy without the buzz.

Gard Public House is a little gem tucked outside of a town that otherwise doesn't look like it would have much to offer. Portions were generous and service was excellent! The pizza was a little overly cheesy and I wouldn't get it again, but the burgers, sandwiches, and fries were tasty. The pretzel with Gouda bacon dipping sauce was great! Totally worth a midday stop if you're driving through.

I apologize for this late post. This was near St. Patty's Day. I had the special which was the Corned Beef Brisket. With cabbage and potatoes. That was by far the best corned beef brisket I've ever had. That meat just melted in my mouth and with wonderful sauces filling my taste buds. Cabbage and potatoes cooked to perfection. My wife had the Lamb Kabobs, and just the same the meat was perfect and tender. With great combination of herbs and spices. Our friends had the New York Steak and Fish & Chips. They had absolutely no complaints about their food. I did steal some fries and enjoyed that very much. I highly recommend you come to Royal City WA and enjoy this place.
